The Wealth Management industry is changing, and your business has become more complex. Clients are expecting more from you, highlighting the need to look beyond the traditional stock and bond portfolio to provide alternative sources of income. This presents challenges beyond just the critical question of how to incorporate alternative investments into their portfolios; you must also think about how alternatives fit into your practice and the words to use when talking to clients.
In this session, we will discuss:
Brett Van Bortel has developed and delivers numerous consulting programs designed to increase the profitability, effectiveness and productivity of financial professionals. As a speaker and consultant, his focus is on helping financial professionals in the building of strategic partnerships with attorneys and CPAs. He also works to help in the horizontal growth of financial practices by provisioning wealth management guidance, marketing to age 65+ clients, assisting in the branding of financial firms and scientifically testing for the most effective ways to ask for and receive client introductions. He regularly delivers these presentations to financial professionals in addition to individually coaching top-producing teams. Van Bortel is a coauthor of “RainMaker: Strategic Partnering with Attorneys and Accountants to Create a Pipeline of New Affluent Clients,” “The Millionaire’s Advisor: High-Touch, High-Profit Relationship Management Strategies of Advisors to the Wealthy” and “Selecting a Coach: 7 Guidelines for Financial Advisors.” He also is a regular contributor to Financial Advisor magazine.
