In this session, Richard will discuss research that indicates connections among humans improve physical and mental health, happiness and resilience. He'll review the work of Anna Freund, Edward Deci, Patrick Lencioni, Dan Buettner, Victor Frankl and Abraham Maslow. He also will review the seven things that individuals need at work and strategies you can employ to create a culture of connectivity within a team.

Richard Beckel
Vice President-Sr. Manager, Practice Management and Teams, RBC Wealth Management

Richard Beckel leads the Practice Management & Teams group at RBC Wealth Management. He entered the financial services industry in 1991 and joined RBC Wealth Management in March 2017. Beckel earned his BA from the University of Minnesota in addition to a second degree from Parson’s, The New School in New York, New York. He has passed his Series 7 and 63 securities exams, is certified in emotional intelligence and is a Certified Professional Behavior and Motivators (DISC) Analyst. He also is a Pareto Certified Coach and a ClientWise Certified Financial Services Coach.
