The Wealth Management industry is changing, and your business has become more complex. Clients are expecting more from you, highlighting the need to look beyond the traditional stock and bond portfolio to provide alternative sources of income. This presents challenges beyond just the critical question of how to incorporate alternative investments into their portfolios; you must also think about how alternatives fit into your practice and the words to use when talking to clients.

Tim Wilkinson is an executive consultant at Invesco. In this role, he is responsible for presenting Invesco CEO Advisor Institute's personal and professional development programs to advisors across the West and Midwest. Wilkinson joined Invesco when the firm combined with OppenheimerFunds in 2019. Before joining OppenheimerFunds in 2014, he was head of training and development as well as manager of the national sales desk at Voya Investment Management. Wilkinson's earlier experience includes serving as team manager and trainer at Charles Schwab & Co, Inc., where he managed teams of brokers and was part of the training team that took Schwab's advisors into the wealth management stage of their business. He began his career in financial services in 1996 as an advisor with Prudential Securities. Wilkinson earned a BS degree in organizational communications from the University of New Mexico. He holds CFS®, CMFC® and CIMA® designations, as well as the Series 7, 9/10 and 63 registrations. Wilkinson also achieved his ACC (Associate Certified Coach) designation from the International Coaching Federation.
