Is the Behavioral Advisor Forum conference cancelled?

No, the Behavioral Advisor Forum has not been cancelled, it is moving to a one-day, 100% online format on September 10, 2020, including both livestreamed and on-demand sessions.

While there will be no in-person component in San Francisco, the Behavioral Advisor Forum remains the premier conference for behavioral finance. Registrants will hear from Ivy League academics and the best practitioners in the field covering the latest in behavioral finance.

Why is the Behavioral Advisor Forum conference going 100% online?

The Investments & Wealth Institute has decided in the best interests of the health and safety of our attendees, to move our 2020 Behavioral Advisor Forum to a livestream + on-demand format. This decision was made from deep concern for the health and well-being of our registrants, staff, vendors, and the San Francisco community.

Moving to an online format will enable us to provide the premier, Ivy League-quality experience that our attendees and partners expect. In addition to cutting edge research, attendees will have access to designated networking opportunities and social activities during breaks.

What is the Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand?

2020 Behavioral Advisor Forum will be a fully online experience occurring on September 10, 2020 with both livestream and on-demand components. You will join hundreds of investment and wealth professionals as Ivy League-quality speakers and the best practitioners in the field cover the latest in behavioral finance. In addition to cutting edge research, attendees will have access to designated networking opportunities and social activities during breaks.

Eight sessions will be livestreamed on September 10, 2020. Four sessions will be pre-recorded and accessed on-demand, within the conference platform at attendee’s leisure.

How many continuing education (CE) credits could I earn by attending the Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand?

This program will offer up to 12.5 hours of CE. A benefit to choosing Institute programs for your CE needs is that all programs offer “Premier CE” credit, which means all sessions are guaranteed to be accepted for CE, credit is automatically uploaded to your certificant record on your behalf, and these audit-proof CE credit hours will be automatically reported on your behalf and reflected in your online account approximately two weeks after the event.

CFP® certification: This program has been approved for 7 CFP CE credits. The Institute will report attendance on your behalf to the CFP Board approximately two weeks after the event. The CFP ID field on your Institute account must be complete and accurate for this process to take place. To verify: log in to your dashboard account and click “update my demographic information” on the right-hand side to locate the CFP ID field.

Will Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand sessions be recorded to access later?

Yes. All registered attendees will have access to the session recordings after Behavioral Advisor Forum concludes. From September 11, 2020 until September 24, 2020, attendees will have access to the session recordings in an on-demand format in the conference platform, using the login credentials originally provided.

Beginning September 25, attendees will have access to session recordings by logging in to their Institute membership dashboard, using their Institute website login credentials. Attendees will have access to the 12 total hours of CE in an on-demand format for one (1) year.

How will I earn the 12.5 hours of continuing education (CE)?

As a registrant, the Institute will provide you with custom login credentials and instructions for accessing the conference platform. From September 1-24, 2020, you can access the Behavioral Advisor Forum conference platform and watch four (4) pre-recorded, On-Demand sessions for CE. You will also use your credentials on September 10, 2020 to log in to the Behavioral Advisor Forum conference platform for the eight (8) livestream sessions for CE, and .5  credit for the Bonus EdTalk.  Please complete the speaker surveys located on the Chime conference platform to serve as your backup attendance for CE purposes.

I am registered for Behavioral Advisor Forum, what happens now?

You do no need to take any action, you have been seamlessly transferred. 

As a registrant, you will be provided with custom login credentials and instructions by the Institute at the beginning of September. You will use your credentials to login to the Behavioral Advisor Forum, September 10, 2020, beginning at 10 am ET.

I am registered for Behavioral Advisor Forum; how can I cancel my hotel registration?

Hotel reservations made through the Institute’s room block will be automatically cancelled. Attendees will receive a cancellation confirmation email from the hotel directly. If you made your own hotel reservations outside of the conference block, you must cancel directly with the property you selected.

What is the cancellation policy for Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand?

Cancellation/Transfer Policy—Cancellations for conference registration must be received in writing. Please send cancellation requests to conferences@i-w.org. The registration fee, less a $50 cancellation/transfer fee, will be refunded for requests received by September 3, 2020. The Investments & Wealth Institute is unable to provide refunds or transfer registration fees to another event after September 3, 2020. You will receive an email from the Institute conference team confirming receipt of your request; if you do not receive an email with this confirmation within 24 business hours, please call 303-770-3377. 

When will I have access to the Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand event platform?

All registrants will be provided with custom login credentials and instructions by the Institute at the beginning of September.

How do I log in to the Behavioral Advisor Forum: Livestream + On-Demand event platform?

As a registrant, you will be provided with custom login credentials and instructions by the Institute. Beginning September 1, 2020, you will have access to the Behavioral Advisor Forum platform and the four (4) On-Demand sessions for CE. You will use your credentials to login to the Behavioral Advisor Forum platform for the entire conference, September 10, 2020, for the eight (8) livestream sessions for CE, and .5  credit for the Bonus EdTalk.

Attendees will continue to have access to the sessions in an on-demand format until September 24, 2020. Beginning September 25, attendees will have access to Behavioral Advisor Forum On-demand by logging into their membership dashboard.

You will have access to the 12 hours of CE in an on-demand format for one (1) year from purchase.

I am a Partner/Sponsor/Exhibitor, how do I register?

Sponsor, partner, and exhibitor representatives will be register automatically. Please reach out to your Institute representative for more information.

You will only need an internet connection to join with your login credentials. The recommended browsers are Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
