Crypto markets are drawing more attention from financial advisors, but the asset class remains complex for most professional allocators. In this session, Samir Kerbage, CIO at Hashdex, joins Lindsay Nelson, Nasdaq's Research Strategy Lead, to walk through what has actually happened in crypto markets this year, which structural developments matter for long-term allocators, and how advisor interest in the asset class has shifted as the market has matured.

The conversation will also address a question that comes up consistently among professional allocators: how to construct crypto exposure responsibly. Kerbage and Nelson will also discuss how a diversified, rules-based benchmark like the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index is designed to give advisors a disciplined framework for evaluating exposure to the asset class, and what that framework looks like in practice for client portfolios.

Lindsay Nelson is Research Strategy Lead for Nasdaq’s Index Insights team and leads content and research related to Nasdaq’s crypto indexes. Before joining Nasdaq, Nelson worked on companies developing technology solutions across sectors such as supply chain, data mapping, and content creation. She is an experienced entrepreneur, consultant, and emerging technology researcher.
