Speaker Bios
Robert Powell, RMA®, CFP® Editor, Retirement Management Journal
Robert Powell, CFP®, RMA®, is editor-in-chief of the Investments & Wealth Institute Retirement Management Journal, host of the IWI’s Exceptional Advisor podcast, and serves as a faculty member of the IWI’s Retirement Management Advisor certification program. He serves as the editor and publisher of Retirement Daily on TheStreet.com and as a retirement columnist for USA TODAY and MarketWatch.com. Previously, he served as a managing director of DALBAR. He is also co-chair of the Swampscott Age-Friendly Committee, the chair of the Swampscott Council on Aging/Senior Center, and a member of the Swampscott Retirement Board. He earned a BA from Marquette University and an MS in journalism from Boston University.
LeTian Dong joined Midas Wealth as their chief growth officer in May 2023. Influenced by her father, Dong began her financial planning career upon graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent the past decade as a retirement income specialist, helping clients design strategies that exceed their goals and empower them to live joyfully and confidently. Her efforts led the American College of Financial Services to honor her with the 2021 NextGen Financial Services Professional Award. Dong is a fluent speaker and writer in Mandarin and is an advocate of diversity, equity and inclusion. She has a passion for mentoring next generation financial planning professionals and for driving change in the financial services industry.
Steve Resch Vice President, Retirement Strategies
As Vice President of Retirement Strategies at Finance of America Reverse, Steve leads the education and training programs for financial professionals about the strategic use of home equity within a comprehensive retirement plan. Steve’s career in financial services spans over 36 years and includes positions as investment analyst, retirement software designer, educator, and since 1994, an independent wealth advisor. His practice is focused on effective retirement income strategies and will often include a reverse mortgage to manage cash flow, income taxes, market performance and other considerations to help safeguard and enhance retirement and legacy objectives. Steve is a subject expert source, interviewed by numerous media outlets, and is a frequent speaker at both national and regional professional conferences..
