Investments & Wealth Institute has reserved a block of rooms at the Omni Hotel at the special group rate of $315 CAD single/double per night. This rate includes complimentary in-room internet.

Please note hotel policy: Cancellations must be made within three (3) days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. Departure date must be confirmed at the time of check-in. For any reserved rooms vacated prior to the scheduled departure date, a $315 early departure fee will apply.  

Booking a room in the Institute room block is an important way to support the association and keep overall meeting costs as low as possible. The Institute commits to a block of rooms at the hotel on behalf of conference attendees and has a financial obligation to fill the block. Please help us avoid potential penalties and control costs for future events by staying at the official hotel. Staying within the block is also more convenient and helps you stay connected with the informal activities and networking opportunities that occur at the hotel during the conference. If you are required to reserve a room through your company’s travel department, please forward the booking link to them so that you can reserve a room in the Institute’s room block. 

Location and Transportation

The Omni King Edward Hotel is located in the heart of Toronto. It is served by two airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.  

• Toronto Pearson International Airport is 15 miles from the Omni Hotel (30-45 minutes by car). To locate taxi service from Terminal 1, proceed to the Arrivals Level, Door D. From terminal 3, proceed to the Arrivals Level, Doors D, E & F.  A taxi is currently estimated at $55.00 CAD.

• Billy Bishop Airport is 2.0 miles from the Omni Hotel (10 minutes by car), servicing Porter Airlines. Taxi service is located at the taxi stand on the mainland, just outside the ferry terminal. To access the mainland from the airport you may ride the free ferry departing every 15 minutes or walk through the pedestrian tunnel. 

• Union Pearson Express (UP Express) connects the Toronto Pearson International Airport to the Union Station, in the heart of downtown, in 25 minutes. The Express train departs every 15 minutes, between 5:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The Union Station is located 4 blocks away from the hotel and tickets are $12.35 CAD one way and $24.70 return.  

Parking

Self-parking is located at 65 King Street East. The following rates include in and out privileges.

• $45 Weekday rate plus tax

65 King Street East is located between Yonge Street and Church Street - to enter; off Church Street laneway just south of King Street drive west down the laneway (look for the Blue P with arrow.)
