The needs are so great, the issues are complex and relationships can be complicated. This presentation can help you think comprehensively about your clients’ giving strategy, align their portfolios with their personal values and identify the steps they can take to fulfill their philanthropic goals today, tomorrow, and beyond. You’ll also learn about the key steps to develop an effective giving plan, and gain insights into the various ways to fund giving.

Speaker Bios

Angie is head of Wealth Planning at RBC Wealth Management – U.S. In this role, she and her team are focused on helping clients live life with more clarity and confidence through goals-based planning delivered by skilled financial advisors. 
Angie is a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry. Prior to joining RBC in 2017, she was the head of investment solutions for U.S. Bank Wealth Management where she was responsible for investment and insurance products, financial planning and the digital investment capabilities. Prior to her career at U.S. Bank, O’Leary previously held leadership positions at UBS and Piper Jaffray. 
She sits on several industry roundtable and advisory boards and is often asked to contribute her expertise. O’Leary has authored numerous white papers, published articles and is active in the media. She has a passion for financial literacy and is an advocate for women and their financial success. 
O’Leary holds a bachelor’s degree in business finance from San Jose State University and has completed coursework toward a master’s degree in accounting from Santa Clara University. She is active in her community, serving as an executive board member for the Wayside Recovery Center, a treatment center for women and their families recovering from substance abuse, is active with the Alzheimer’s Association and has a passion for family mission work in Haiti.

Cyndy Ranzau is a Wealth Strategist for RBC Wealth Management. Based in
Denver, she serves as a resource for financial advisors to assist in gaining an
understanding of their clients’ financial objectives, gathering information and
determining strategies for complex financial and wealth management issues for
high-net-worth clients in the firm’s West division.
Cyndy works with advisors to discover issues their clients face and develop
customized wealth management solutions to assist clients in attaining their
goals. She focuses on wealth transfer planning, including trust and estate
planning, business succession planning, charitable planning and stock option
planning. Cyndy works in collaboration with clients’ attorneys, accountants
and other professionals to implement comprehensive planning strategies. In
addition, Cyndy leads seminars and educational presentations for clients and
groups on a variety of wealth strategies topics.
Cyndy has been with RBC Wealth Management since January 2013. Prior to
joining RBC Wealth Management, Cyndy held various positions in finance
including lead client advisor at a multi-family office, retail financial advisor and
relationship manager in wealth management. She has been in the financial
services industry for over 19 years and received her bachelor’s degree in
international relations at the University of Minnesota and her Masters of
Science in financial services from The American College. Cyndy also holds the
CFP® certification in addition to having passed the Series 7, 63, 65 exams and
holds multiple state insurance licenses.

Cathy Walker is a senior trust consultant for RBC Wealth Management. 
Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Cathy is responsible for helping RBC Wealth 
Management fi nancial advisors promote family legacy planning concepts 
to clients. She also helps educate clients about the benefi ts of using wealth 
management strategies that incorporate trust and philanthropic solutions. 
Overall, her goal is to enhance the relationship clients have with their fi nancial 
advisors by helping them make optimal use of trust strategies. 
She strives to make what is often viewed as a sensitive and diffi cult topic into a 
conversation about the role of planning for clients, their families, friends 
and communities. 
Cathy has more than 30 years of experience working in the trust industry 
as a marketing consultant, trust offi cer and business development 
professional. Cathy earned a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington 
University and attended Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School. 
She has spoken to audiences at state bar association meetings and 
is a featured speaker for the Financial Planning Association. Cathy is 
approved to provide continuing education credits to CERTIFIED FINANCIAL 
PLANNER™ professionals and Certifi ed Public Accountants nationwide
