Is the Retirement Management Forum conference cancelled?

No, the Retirement Management Forum has not been cancelled, it is moving to a one-day, 100% online format December 8, and will include both livestreamed and on-demand sessions. On December 7th and 9th be sure to join our RMA Orientation and Post-conference Discussion to receive an additional (2) CE credit hours. On-Demand and Ed Talks CE worth (6) credits will be offered beginning December 1-22.

While there will be no in-person component in Florida, the Retirement Forum remains the premier conference focused on retirement management for advisors. The conference gathers the right mix of up-to-date academic, industry expertise and the best practitioners in the field, covering the latest in the issues facing your retirement clients. In addition to our great speaker lineup, attendees will have access to designated networking opportunities, a virtual exhibit hall, live Q&A with speakers, and virtual polling.

Why is the Retirement Management Forum conference going 100% online?

The Investments & Wealth Institute has decided in the best interest of the health and safety of our attendees, to move our 2020 Retirement Management Forum to a livestream + on-demand format occurring December 8, 2020. On December 7th and 9th be sure to join our RMA Orientation and Post-conference Discussion to receive an additional (2) CE credit hours. You do not need to take any action; you have been seamlessly transferred. This decision was made from deep concern for the health and well-being of our registrants, staff, vendors, and the South Florida community.

Moving to an online format will enable us to provide the premier, Ivy League-quality experience that our attendees and partners expect. In addition to the best practitioners and wealth management academics in the world, attendees will have access to designated networking opportunities, a virtual exhibit hall, live Q&A with speakers, and virtual polling.

I am registered for Retirement Management Forum, what happens now?

You do no need to take any action, you have been seamlessly transferred.

As a registrant, you will be provided with custom login credentials and instructions by the Institute five (5) business days prior to the event. You will use your credentials to login to the Retirement Management Forum, December 8, 2020. The main conference will be held on December 8 and you may earn up to (6) CE credit hours by watching the livestream sessions. On December 7th and 9th be sure to join our RMA Orientation and Post-conference Discussion to receive an additional (2) CE credit hours. The On-Demand and Ed Talks will be on the conference virtual platform in the tab labeled, On-Demand, feel free to watch the videos for an additional (6) CE credit hours. 

 

I am registered for Retirement Management Forum; how can I cancel my hotel registration?

Hotel reservations made through the Institute’s room block will be automatically cancelled. Attendees will receive a cancellation confirmation email from the hotel directly. If you made your own hotel reservations outside of the conference block, you must cancel directly with the property you selected.

 

What is the cancellation policy for Retirement Management Forum: Livestream + On-Demand?

Cancellation/Transfer Policy—Cancellations for conference registration must be received in writing. Please send cancellation requests to conference@i-w.org. The registration fee, less a $50 cancellation/transfer fee, will be refunded for requests received by November 30, 2020. The Investments & Wealth Institute is unable to provide refunds or transfer registration fees to another event after November 30, 2020. You will receive an email from the Institute conference team confirming receipt of your request; if you do not receive an email with this confirmation within 24 business hours, please call 303-770-3377.

How do I log in to the Retirement Management Forum: Livestream + On-Demand event platform?

As a registrant, you will be provided with custom login credentials and instructions by the Institute five business days prior to the event. You will use your credentials to log into the Retirement Management Forum platform for the entire conference, on December 8, 2020. The main conference will be held on December 8 for up to (6) CE.

 

To receive up to 14 hours of continuing education (CE), use your credentials on December 8, 2020, to log in to the conference platform and watch the livestreamed sessions, worth up to (6) hours of CE credits. On December 7th and 9th be sure to join our RMA Orientation and Post-conference Discussion to receive an additional (2) CE credit hours. On-Demand CE worth up to (6) credits will be offered beginning December 1-22. Beginning December 23, you will have access to sessions on your Institute dashboard. Access to recordings is subject to recording quality, technical feasibility, relevance, and speaker permission.

 

You may earn up to 14 continuing education credits (CE) for CIMA®, CPWA®, and RMA® certifications.

How many continuing education (CE) credits could I earn by attending the Retirement Management Forum: Livestream + On-Demand?

Attendees may earn up to 14 continuing education credits for CIMA®, CPWA®, and RMA® certifications. This program is pending approval for CFP® CE credit.

 

To receive up to 14 hours of continuing education (CE), use your credentials on December 8, 2020, to log in to the conference platform and watch the livestreamed sessions, worth up to (6) hours of CE credits. On December 7th and 9th, be sure to join our RMA Orientation and Post-conference Discussion to receive an additional (2) CE credit hours. On-Demand CE worth up to (6) credits will be offered beginning December 1-22. Beginning December 23, you will have access to sessions on your Institute dashboard. Access to recordings is subject to recording quality, technical feasibility, relevance, and speaker permission.

 

A benefit to attending the Institute’s premiere events is that CE credit hours will be automatically reported on your behalf and reflected in your online account approximately two weeks after the event.

 

To earn your CE, log in and watch the livestream + on-demand sessions. You will be required to complete the speaker evaluations for each session you watch to receive CE credit.  Evaluations are located on the platform; simply click the (CE) Continuing Ed button.

**Important information about CE reporting** Due to the holidays, please review this schedule if you need your CE reported by December 30, 2020. We are closed on December 31 and January 1. 

All sessions watched and evaluations submitted through December 9, will be reported to your record by December 22, 2020. 

All sessions watched and evaluations submitted from December 10 through December 14 will be reported to your record by December 30, 2020. 
All sessions watched and evaluations submitted from December 15 through December 22 will be reported to your record by January 8, 2021.
Starting December 23, 2020, all sessions will be available on your dashboard for one year. Once watched, CE will be reported on your behalf within 3 business days.

You will only need an internet connection to join with your login credentials. The recommended browsers are Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

 

The Institute will provide detailed login instructions five business days prior to the event.
