Join us March 8-14, as the Institute celebrates Women in Wealth Week in conjunction with International Women’s Day, celebrated worldwide on March 8
The Institute’s Women in Wealth program, including Women in Wealth Week, provides a gateway and network for knowledge sharing between exceptional Women in Wealth. By bringing together women to celebrate female achievements, exchange ideas, and ignite change, we can elevate women throughout the industry.
Women in Wealth Week celebrates the achievements of women across the profession and brings awareness to the tools, programs, and resources the Institute offers to help women navigate and excel in the industry.
The Institute is working to change the financial industry landscape through our certification programs. Each year, the Institute awards hundreds of scholarships to female financial professionals to ensure women are represented at every level of the industry, including the boardroom.
Our CPWA®, CIMA®,and RMA® programs were designed to equip individuals with the strategies and techniques they need to stand out, address today’s complex investor challenges, attract new clientele and drive better outcomes.
With a scholarship from the Institute, recipients not only elevate their strategies and techniques, but they’ll gain the advanced knowledge set and skill set needed to succeed in today’s business climate.
The Institute's Women in Wealth programs promote and celebrate gender diversity in the financial advice profession, raise funds to support the Certification Scholarship Fund, build community, and ultimately improve the professionalism, ethics, and expertise of women advisors to accelerate career advancement and success.
Throughout the year, leading industry professionals and #disrupthers gather together to share their success stories, strategies and techniques at our events. Our Women in Wealth programs feature interviews, live-stream webinars, panel discussions, interactive networking activities, and deep-dive sessions on topics relevant to women in Finance. Won’t you join us?
Women in financial services represent less than 17% of the industry population. The Institute is committed to elevating the knowledge base of women and expand the representation of women in the industry by celebrating and bringing together Women in Wealth.
We are committed to being part of the change. Are you? Join us in our crusade to empower women around the world and help ignite an industry change.

“The CPWA® will be important for me and my firm as it covers all the bases, providing a full breadth of skill in addition to greater credibility. Credibility is critical to clients. As a young professional woman in finance, the CPWA® will be an immediate differentiation and help to demonstrate my knowledge, skills, and ability. I am so excited to have the opportunity to pursue the CPWA® Certification. The Scholarship expands my ability to pursue this education and grow my knowledge and practice.”
"By investing in yourself, you show up better for others. Like investors, finance professionals want to see a return on investment. I am sure if you ask someone who has obtained the CIMA certification or CPWA certification if they believe it was worth the investment (both in time and financial cost), they will likely say yes. Perhaps it does not immediately result in new AUM or additional revenue, but it certainly increases one’s knowledge base and confidence level. Just as we would expect health professionals to stay up-to-date and be well-trained as advances and discoveries in medicine are made, clients expect the same level of expertise of their financial advisors to help them navigate every aspect of their financial lives.”
"I’m excited to be studying for the RMA certification to better assist clients making the transition into retirement and accessing portfolios we have spent many years building. The CIMA program offered a deep dive into many aspects of investments, I’m looking forward to doing the same with retirement issues. As an advisor it’s imperative we are continually learning and seeking ways to improve the experience and outcomes for our clients."
"The certification and courses work has allowed me to take relationships with clients to a much deeper level, especially in how I can build out services. It’s a higher level of service I am able to provide to clients."
"The CIMA® and CPWA® certifications are a shortcut way for clients to understand what level of service you are able to provide and the type of knowledge and skills you have. While clients might not be familiar with the certification, it starts the conversation. The certification allows me to provide additional details and examples of what I can do and how my team helps people.”
